Brooklyn FAM Festival

Role: Videographer, Editor

Each year, Brooklyn FAM, a nonprofit based in Brooklyn, New York hosts it’s annual flagship festival in Prospect Park. The 2023 edition was their third annual. “Together, we honored Jewish, Arab, and West African cultures and shared our own stories through performances, dance workshops, a new participatory public art project, public art unveilings, community conversation, Jewish niggunim singing circles, and a West African drumming circle. Brooklyn restaurants Bis Bas, Mazza and More, and Café Rue Dix provided delicious Mediterranean halal, Kashrut, and Senegalese lunch items for purchase.”

As the videographer for Brooklyn FAM’s flagship festival, I coordinated with A/V vendors to make sure we were able to capture audio from the board for use later in editing and I worked closely with the festival’s founder to make sure we were clear on what capture priorities would be.

I then was responsible for cutting the day’s festivities into a short recap video to use on socials which is delivered in multiple platform specific formats.
